a quiet day 2 on our overnite stop in Alexandria after yesterday's tour to the Pyramids and Cairo.. some local shopping in the port.. we left Egypt at 6pm for our next port of call in Valletta, Malta one of our favorite places to visit over the years..
Alexandria, Egypt.. Cairo..Pyramids.. Sphinx.. Camels ..the Nile and more.. arrival early at 430am in the port of Alexandria, Egypt on this Monday morning.. we have a tour over to the Pyramids just outside of Cairo a near 3 hour bus ride over the 10 lane high speed road across the desert.. a once in a lifetime trip for us having never been here before.. a great guide as we toured the Pyramids outside in Giza as well as the famous Great Giza Spinx.. tours everywhere as the ship alone had 13 buses on tour there.. fantastic history lesson ..did I mention.. Camels. Donkeys..Horses..Pigeons.. Dogs.. Cats and White Pelicans on the Nile as we ended our day,s tour in Cairo with a catered lunch on a Riverboat on the Nile Belly Dancer and all.. quite a day..
