the adventure begins.. a short walk from our hotel to the cruise terminal down the street and on to the Volendam by 1045am with priority boarding being met and escorted onboard by our good friend Hotel General Manager Florin and his staff.. had a nice lunch in the Lido joined by the Food & Beverage Manager Ron.. checked out a few familiar places onboard.. up to the Crow's Nest at 1pm for the Welcome Aboard party for 3 ..4 ..5 star and President's Club members
as we set sail just after 4pm thru Boston Harbor with lots of haze.. Boston's Logan Airport is just off to the right across the bay from the cruise terminal.. we dropped off the Harbor Pilot at the Sea Buoy and we're on to our next port of call 168nm away- Bar Harbor, Maine.. sure did kool down from the low 70's real fast.. I checked the ocean water temps... 56* brrrrrrr..
