a lil' warmer this early morning

well not actually warmer just 38* at sunrise so that's okay-- beats yesterday's 30*.... a few more people ventured out-- picture takers and dogwalkers.. so all lookin' good..got up to a nice 69* today with sunny skies... ocean water temps hanging in there at 53* so not too bad either ...a nice January day....I'll take it..

a nice sunrise.. finally

 I got to see the Sunrise once again after 4 days of cloudy and sometimes rainy weather in the early morning.. I went out this morning.. kinda cool and breezy on the beach about an hour before sunrise.. 30*F.. beach was almost empty except for a lady walking her dog..

why was I out there so early... thought there might be one more chance to see the '5 Planets in Alignment' that was happening all week.. well the Planets were there--- but they were here, there and everywhere across the dark sky and the window of opportunity was over ..next chance in the year 2020.. snapped the Moon at least... turned into a nice sunny day at 58*

35 years with him.. he's retired also for the past 25 years..... my green buddy had my back for a long time.. the original Sgt BossFrog.. took him out to get some sunshine this afternoon after a bunch of cloudy and rainy days around here. a few pics for old times sake..

so far still no chance in the before sunrise hour of seeing the 5 Planets in alignment.. clouds clouds and more clouds as they missed the forecast big time again this morning.. supposed to be clear

that's the 4-letter word of the day.. NO not anywhere near us even though they had forecast rain mixed with flurries last nite --it never happened-- but in the Mid-Atlantic up from Charlotte-Raleigh to the Northeast and the NYC Metro area they are still getting blasted.. last number totals I heard were 27" in NYC..  same numbers for the Joisey shore with massive flooding along the beach towns all over down that way..

another Blackjack kinda morning 21* but at least no wind.. wasn't on the beach too long though only four of us 'crazies' out there this early morning at sunrise--- another picture taker.. 2 dogwalkers and moi.. geez it was cold.. nice and sunny thruout the entire day

UPDATE-- Desktop fiasco-- 'SOL-VED'

I wrote it off as DOA after many many hours of screwing around with this tech crapola.. burning the midnite oil nite after nite -- I wasn't going to give up--what started out about 10 days ago looks like I solved the Desktop fiasco... one or more updates seem to be the cause that drove the Desktop to auto-reboot after 10-15 minutes like clockwork.. all the searching and research on auto-shutdowns I did proved fruitless

I won't tell you how many times I tried to do a Windows Repair in Safe Mode..lost count got tired hitting that F8 key.. I uninstalled a lot of programs that I haven't used in a long while.. still no good..also many more tries at other possible causes like running my Malwarebytes and Norton Programs over and over again--no malware..no viruses.. all were nil..

I decided to uninstall the latest Adobe Shockwave Flash Update from the other day and disable all my browser plugins on both Firefox and Chrome..  one of those last few tries w*rked..

right now it is back to normal and hopefully will stay like that .. glad I didn't have much hair on my head when I started..

decided that the way it looks it'll only be a matter of a short time this old desktop will crumble soon.. will be getting a replacement using this one as a backup for as long as it lasts

aha.. we got some sun..

a bit of frost in the air at 33* as I meandered down to the beach at Sunrise this morning..warmed up to 56* with sunny blue skies all day..better than it has been..on another note.. my old Dell Desktop with the nice 24"monitor went DOA today..  well almost it'll stay up for a short while then kaboom.. looks like a power short...fans are working so don't think it's an overheat problem.. reboots about every 10-15 minutes..tried everything.. safe mode.. system restore.. have everything.. as in ALL.. backed up on multiple external hard drives.. and backed up again with a backup on a backup... so not concerned about any data loss  ...now do I get a new Desktop or weezle my way into a 17" Laptop loaded with 32gb RAM and 2TB HD--sure would miss this big monitor to do all my image editing and playing with my pics.. right now running my travel laptop Dell 13" thru the Desktop's 24" monitor w/ HDMI.. resolution using it this way suxx so my pics will suffer.. sticking with Windows ( not Apple-icious) so it'll be Windows 10..... mainly using it for pics and image editing ..decisions.. decisions..

with a bit of a chill in the air.. 30* at sunrise... brrrrrrr... but it turned into a nice pleasant cloud free day with temps in the mid 50's.. spotted these two Red Tailed Hawks scouting for their 'lunch' atop some wires along Rt 17 about a mile from the house as I was headed out to get tomorrow's winning Powerball ticket :) :) :)
