a drive to the beach this early morning.. temps are dropping once again 39*.. the 'usual suspects' were out and about walking their dogs--actually a few more than the usual for some reason today.. a nice morning as I stopped over at the lake on the drive home spotting a couple of Bald Eagles on their regular perch
off to the beach at 40th street once again.. a 'kewl' early morning at 39* .. took a chance before sunrise that the sky would blossom into some nice colors.. it did.. then all of a sudden the colors were gone and the clouds overtook the sun making for a non-sunrise but that didn't matter at that point.. after leaving the beach and island stopped over at Veteran's Park on the Intracoastal Waterway for a few more pics..
Happy Birthday to my beautiful wife Patricia.. we enjoyed spending the day at home together.. she as always cooked a special meal of her choosing-- Italian .. starting off with Burrata and tomatoes for an appetizer.. with the main of fusilli pasta with ricotta on the side.. meatballs.. hot and sweet Italian sausage.. with of course some Amarone Italian red wine .. dessert was her homemade Italian Cassata cake ( for two) ..it sure is tuff to stay on our diets.. on her special day she outdid herself once again.. kudos..

over to the beach at 40th street.. more clouds than I had expected moved back into the area in the overnite.. so much for the clear skies forecast .. a lil' chill in the air with the North winds blowing at 7-10mph... a 'delayed sunrise' as the sun finally peeked thru the low clouds.. quiet on the beach with just a few of the regulars--the dog-walkers.. saw maybe a dozen peeps in total.. cloudy thru most of the day.. 55* in the afternoon.. at least the rain wasn't around
over to the beach on a not much of a morning kinda day.. clouds.. mist.. 63*.. as the 4 day rain event continues.. snapped a few on the near empty beach then decided to stop over at the lake on the drive home.. a few birds in the reeds feeding along the bank..and the big guy on his perch on this warmer but uglee looking early morning.. off/on rain thruout the day.. more rain on the way thru early Sunday morning

we are in Day #2 of a '4 day rain event'.. non-stop rain since yesterday afternoon with the forecast showing rain into Sunday.. our temps are at 63* this early morning.. sunrises will be among the missing for the next few days
