Day 2 - at Sea

we are sailing in a NE direction out toward Bermuda our first port with a scheduled arrival there on Tuesday April 8.. a nice sunrise at 656am this morning as I made my way up to Deck 14 on the bow.. it was then breakfast in Club Orange one of our many President's Club perks so we take advantage of it..  a few familiar faces working there who we know over the years we have sailed exclusively with Holland America.. 'Handsome Paul'.. Eduardo.. and Mark who gladly hands out complimentary Mimosas along with the juices.. a pleasant day at sea as we eat in the dining room tonite followed by a Mariner's' Welcome Aboard Party in the Lido Pool area.. 82* and sunny all day.. a nice dueling pianos and songs set in the Billboard Onboard lounge- a favorite of ours

Day 1- Ft Lauderdale Port Everglades

onboard the N Statendam.. still in Port Everglades with a med- evac for one of the crew.. a pretty day ..82* watching the ICW from our verandah was a hoot on this busy Saturday in south Florida.. fishermen.. jetskis.. tankers.. paddle boards..planes.. helicopters..  and a few party peeps ..bikinis too.. what a crazy zoo.. 🤣🤣🤣🤣.. next stop- Bermuda-  heading across the 'big pond' toward the UK.. France and Rotterdam.. and more for 43 days

the ship cleared and we finally set sail at 2020 hrs-820pm..
