Day 4- Sydney

 a non-sunrise kinda early morning.. up on deck at 445am.. low heavy dark clouds won out.. 48* with a 25-30 mph North wind.. didn't see anyone else on deck..I wonder why..  up to the Pinnacle for breakfast--taking advantage of one of our benefit-perks onboard.. arrived in Sydney--thee other Sydney--  in Nova Scotia at about 9am... been here many times before..the home of the famous 'Big Fiddle'..  off the ship for a brisk cool walk around town.. our regular Tim Hortons nearby had closed amid Covid so went to the downtown one --more walking..  not many peeps around in this friendly place..kept on snapping away as I always do

Day 3- Halifax.. Memorial Day

 Memorial Day ..as we  remember and give thanx to all my fellow Veterans who gave and sacrificed their lives so all of us could be free..a big salute🇺🇸

sunrise was at 533am as we switched over to 1 hour later on to Atlantic Standard time.. just now docking in Halifax Nova Scotia at 930am a smidge late.. .. we're back in Canada..yippee.. sunny skies so far 66* which is a surprise..up to 72* by noon.. not bad.. having been here a number of times in the past we'll just walk the city over to the Gardens Park and back down to the Waterfront Boardwalk

a walk around Halifax as we got off the ship by 1015am..warmed up nicely into the mid 70's..  walking about a mile+ up the hill on Spring Garden Rd to the beautiful Halifax Gardens.. it's a one time stop each time we do this itinerary.. it was back down the hill to the waterfront boardwalk area a quick stop in Tim Hortons for a cup and an Apple Fritter.. walking the waterfront couldn't pass by Cows Ice Cream for a double scoop of Wowie Cowey--Gooey Mooey in a cone... our favorite Lobster Roll shop closed down due to Covid last year as did a number of stores and shops in the Market right next to the Cruise Terminal... lots of peeps around today as there was another ship in town-- the Island Princess.. it was back onboard by 130pm .. we have a dinner reservation at the Pinnacle tonite..
