Day 9--at Sea

a mostly cloudy morning with a 5am rain-shower put a damper on any chance of a sunrise.... I still went up on deck though just in case.. it never happened though as we are heading back home to Ft Lauderdale with 2 days at sea and the end of our cruise-Part 2

Day 8-- Puerto Limon, Costa Rica

a nice but old style port in Costa Rica on the Caribbean side...  did the Tortuguera Canal river tour.. time for some wildlife pics.. howler Monkeys... 2 and 3 finger Sloths.. Crocs..not the shoes but the ones with big teeth..  many species of birds ..a final stop at the DelMonte Banana plantation -- Costco Bananas.. nice tour with a great guide- Ivan..had a cocktail party in the Crow's Nest to go to with the usual suspects--Captain.. Hotel Director and the rest

Day 7--Panama Canal

arriving at the entrance to the Panama Canal at 530am to start the procedure to enter the Gatun Locks..  always an adventure.. well worth seeing.. our only regret was that this cruise doesn't do the entire crossing to the Pacific as we've done many times in the past...we entered Gatun Lake then had to wait until the Canal traffic turned around so we could enter and cross back into the Atlantic stopping later this afternoon at the port of Colon just a couple of miles away from the Canal .. we got off the ship and walked around doing some shopping and getting some free wifi..decided to do the Pinnacle Grill once again... great food
